Question: Where is the Banquet located?

Answer: We are currently located at 502 North 4th Street, Bismarck, ND 58501 inside Trinity Lutheran Church!


Question: When does The Banquet serve meals to the community?

Answer: We currently serve meals at Trinity Lutheran on Tuesdays from 5:30pm - 7:00pm, Thursdays from 5:30pm - 7:00pm, and Saturdays from 11:30am - 12:30pm. A meal is served on Sundays from Noon-1:00pm at The Salvation Army located at 601 S. Washington St. Bismarck. We are in the process of expanding the number of meals we are able to serve to the community. Stay tuned for announcements of additions to come!


Question: What is the cost for my group to host the banquet?

Answer: The cost of each of the meals varies. The approximate costs for each meal are as follows: Tuesday - $625, Thursday - $1250, Saturday & Sunday- $625. This cost is dependent on a few factors and choices that your group makes on what to provide to the community. 


Question: Are we able to make a monetary donation, in lieu of hosting The Banquet?

Answer: As much as we would love to have you and/or your group come and host a meal, yes. There are many costs to running The Banquet that are not covered by the hosts of each meal. We appreciate any and all donations that you are able to help us with. Please visit our Donations page in order to donate now, or contact us if you have additional questions or would like to discuss donating physical items such as kitchen equipment, paper products, etc.


Question: How many volunteers are required to host a meal at The Banquet?

Answer: Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday meals are served cafeteria style and require 10 volunteers. Thursday meals are served restaurant style and require about 30 volunteers. We understand that your group may be a few people short for the day you are looking to host, but don't worry! We have a list of individuals who we will be able to fill those empty spots with.


Question: Does our group need to purchase the food for the meal we are planning to host?

Answer: No. Karla and her staff will do the shopping for you. All you need to do is come and enjoy your volunteer experience. Please contact us with any questions you may have.


Question: How are the meal's menu's decided on?

Answer: During your planning process with our Director, you will discuss the requirements that need to be met for each meal. Within those guidelines, the meal choice is ultimately up to you and your group!


Question: What dates are available for my group to volunteer for?

Answer: The Banquet hosts meals on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday of each week. If you have any questions about a specific date, contact us!


Question: Is an individual able to volunteer for The Banquet?

Answer: Yes! We have a standing list of individual volunteers (Angel's List). Each of the hosting groups is responsible for providing enough volunteers for each meal. In the event that requirement can't be met by the group, we will pull from our Angel's List of individuals to fill those spots.
